About me

Hello!!

My name is Rachel, I am an adventure loving outdoor enthusiast born in the ACT and currently living in NSW, Australia. I grew up in both the ACT and NSW as even though my family worked and went to school in the ACT, every weekend we would spend out on our rural property in NSW. My parents fostered an environment where weekends were for adventures, for escaping the city and for spending quality time with people you love. This is something I have brought with me into adulthood, where I love spending my weekends getting outside with those I love, whether that is my friends, my 2 beautiful Aussie Shepherd pups, my wonderful husband or sometimes joyfully by myself.

I want this blog to be a place where I can keep these precious memories, these stories, adventures and journeys. It’s something I get a lot of joy reflecting back on, and experiences I would love to share, and who knows, hopefully it may encourage others to spend more time outside.

I have spent a lot of time exploring ACT and NSW, and this will be a re-count of all of those special memories and hopefully regularly updated with fresh adventures too!

If you would like to see more real time up-to-date content of what I get up to, then give me a follow on my instagram @rachmartee

I’m Rach!

Welcome to Rachmartee, my personal collection of adventures through-out Australia over the years. Here, I invite you to join me, my friends or my pups on a journey of mishaps, bush bashes, lesser known trails, heartfelt stories and epic scenery!

I have lived and grown up within the ACT and rural NSW my whole life. Getting outside fills my heart with joy and wonder, it calms my nerves, helps me feel grounded and helps me feel connected to this world. I hope these stories and adventures will be an archive collection I can reflect back on for many years, for my family to see what I am getting up to on all these crazy trips and for my children to one day see the crazy and wild things that shaped who their mother is.
